Celebrate Pork! at the 2012 Ontario Pork Congress at the Stratford Rotary Complex. 

Tradeshow – Pork related exhibits housed in a state of the art facility, this is  the largest pig show in Canada! With over 125 exhibtors inside and outside. The show brings together all segments of the pork industry ~ breeders, producers, equipment suppliers and consumers. It is a two-day event that was established in 1972 to allow all people a chance to learn the latest about pork.

Junior Barrow Competition on June 20, 2012 will be bringing the show back to the Pork Congress. It will be held in an outdoor tent on the west side of the AgriPlex in the afternoon of June 20th.

Michigan Ag Expo 2012 is set for July 17-19 on the show grounds at the corner of Mt. Hope Road and Farm Lane.

Keeping in tradition with past years, Ag Expo 2012 will feature many educational opportunities for visitors. Field demos for real farm performance.

As our nation’s premier outdoor agricultural showcase, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show offers “one stop shopping” for farmers and highlights the most innovative and technologically advanced agricultural products and services available.

Last year there were over 43,000 visitors to the show. There are tractor-driven people-movers to take people to and from the demonstration fields and parking. We have approximately 50 acres of exhibit space and it is packed with over 700 exhibitors. The site is turf grass so it is easy to walk.

There will be livestock, crop, equipment and energy features this year along with demonstrations.

Sept 18-22 , 2012 Waterloo Region will Host the International Plowing Match and Rural Exposition at Roseville just south of K-W in the heart of the Golden Triangle Area of Southern Ontario.

We expect in excess of 100,000 visitors to attend our massive 5 day, outdoor event. A “tented city” covering 100 acres will become home to some 600 exhibitors and vendors for 5 days.

There will be attractions for everyone … knowledge and education to be gained by today’s decision makers, tomorrows leaders and those who are enjoying their leisure time. We expect to showcase many of our local business related to our broad base of high technology, agriculture, alternate energy generation , manufacturing and service industries.

We will be hosting the 99th anniversary of the IPM plowing competition. One of our mandates is to provide a competition that promotes the safe and efficient use of farm machinery and encourages improved farm productivity and yield efficiency through proper seedbed preparation and soil management. The top two competitors in the plowing competitions will represent Ontario at the Canadian Plowing Championships in 2013. Our Queen of the furrow competition will be another major attraction, and our wrap up banquet will honour and recognize all those who have competed in the weeks plowing competitions.

An RV Park of 1800 sites will cover another 100 acre field. Hydro, water availability and a huge entertainment tent with local and widely recognized entertainers will add excitement to the scene.
